IGFA hosts World Recreational Fishing Conference

The IGFA hosted the 5th World Recreational Fishing Conference (WRFC) at its headquarters November 10-12, 2008.  Chaired by IGFA Conservation Director Jason Schratwieser, the 5th WRFC marked the first time the conference was held in the United States.  The conference鈥檚 theme was 鈥淭he Angler in the Environment鈥� and expanded on topics brought forward by previous WRFC鈥檚.  The 5th WRFC was attended by over 200 individuals from 20 different countries.  Proceedings from the conference were published in the book 鈥淭he Angler in the Environment: Social, Economic, Biological, and Ethical Dimensions鈥�.
